We’re Back! It’s the Annual “Heal Our Children, Heal Ourselves” Retreat
Situated in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, the Won Dharma Center offers a time of reflection, contemplation and mindfulness. As with our previous retreats, each day will begin with meditation and light yoga, followed by short discussions on various health modalities and educational programs that focus on benefitting our child’s progress and development, including our own. There will also be plenty of time for large and small group circles where everything from brain-storming, to consoling, to fortifying our spirit seems to occur. Various guest speakers will, again, sprinkle our day with talks on healing therapies, current politics, and other matters of interests.
As you know, all proceeds from the retreat go directly to the Won Dharma Center. That way, we can keep the cost down. Therefore, as in past, if you wish to pay an amount above the donation/registration fee, those proceeds will go directly to our scholarship fund.
Since this retreat essentially creates itself out of the talent which springs from our group, please let us know of any musicians out there (amateurs welcome!) who would be interested in playing an instrument, or would be willing to lead us in a few songs. Also, for those familiar with a few yoga moves (or belly dancing!), who could take us through some stretching exercises in the morning, please let us know.
We can’t wait to see all of your bright, familiar faces, and we’re equally excited and eager to meet the new ones too!
